The Wreathed Hornbill is smaller than the Great Hornbill, and rarely wins when competing for a nest hole. But in this painting, I wanted to shift the balance. I placed it in the foreground, backed by a towering tree, painted in richer colors and sharper details. Both species still share the forests of Bù Gia Mập National Park.
