One of my favorite pieces, shown at the bat conference in Phuket in 2019, just before the COVID outbreak. Whatever the species implicated later, this painting remained close to my original vision. It’s based on the Cần Giờ mangrove, where a colony still roosts. I imagined the first group flying out in the evening: secret, silent, like a squadron.
