Seven Vietnamese titles have covered his work. VnExpress keeps a standing author page for
him, which means a following over time rather than a single piece.
His first solo exhibition, Wildlife Art: The Natural World through an artist’s eyes,
ran from 13 to 19 July 2025 at Hội Mỹ thuật TP.HCM, 218A Pasteur, with over 160 works. Most
of what follows was written around it.
What he told them
I studied the proportions of each species very carefully, their behaviour and their habitat, with conservation scientists.
Tôi đã học rất cẩn thận về tỉ lệ kích thước của mỗi loài, tập tính và sinh cảnh của chúng, từ các nhà khoa học bảo tồn.
Nature is a master artist. I only follow its brushstrokes.
Thiên nhiên là một nghệ sĩ bậc thầy. Tôi chỉ là người lần theo nét cọ của nó.
If someone looks, then feels, then loves, perhaps they will also love the creature in the painting. And when we love something, we want to keep it.
Nếu ai đó nhìn, rồi cảm, rồi yêu thì biết đâu họ sẽ yêu luôn cả sinh vật được khắc họa trong tranh. Và khi ta yêu một điều gì, ta sẽ muốn giữ gìn nó.
