While visiting a friend’s house in Cẩm Mỹ, Bà Rịa, I made a quick sketch that became this painting. Thanks to my host, Hoài Bão, one of Vietnam’s top bird experts, I learned that zebra doves were once rare here. Now, they’ve settled in and become almost invasive. Nature never follows a script.
