As its name suggests, this isn’t a true vampire bat, though I’ve seen those in the wild too, during a trip to El Cielo Reserve in Mexico. This species is carnivorous, specialized in catching fish and frogs along forest creeks. Painting water at night is always a challenge, and a thrill.
