Just because an animal feeds on carcasses doesn’t mean it deserves disdain. Like eagles, vultures have an imposing presence, in their posture, their wings, the way they hold themselves. Painting them is never boring. I painted this one to remember the vast, powerful plains of the Serengeti that I visited a long time ago.
