Some animals live like shadows, hidden in worlds never meant for human eyes. The Annamite Striped Rabbit is one of them. Painting it is a challenge, because even a shadow needs light. I imagined the last soft glow before nightfall, the rabbit waiting, still and invisible. Perhaps this is how a moth might see it, passing quietly through.
